Windows Vista Running Slow? Two Proven Ways to Speed it Up!

Copyright (c) 2008 PC Registry Repair

If you truly want to speed up vista, you need to approach the issue from a few different angles. Simply installing an anti-virus tool or anti-spyware tool isn't going to cut it. That being said, start considering different methods of speeding up your computer -- examine what techniques can be used and how they can actually help to improve your PC's performance. Luckily for you, here are a couple PC speedup tips that will get your Vista PC back up to speed.

1) Hardware UpkeepAlthough there are many systems within your computer that make it great, it's the hardware itself that actually allows the PC to do it's thing. Having said that, be sure to take excellent care of your hardware. If you don't, well, you won't have a working PC for much longer.

Taking excellent care of your computer's hardware does not mean peeking at your computer's insides to make sure everything is "there" or "not on fire". As a matter of fact, even if something is wrong, you might not be able to tell from just looking at the computer itself. Therefore, take some proactive steps in order to make sure your hardware is safe & secure.

As far as hardware is concerned, heat is the biggest enemy. When the computer begins to heat up, the hardware suffers greatly resulting in extreme PC sluggishness and erratic behavior. To prevent this from happening and to keep your PC at a reliable speed, you will need to make sure the computer is well ventilated and has the appropriate number of fans.

If you think the computer could use another fan, don't hesitate to add one. Fans are inexpensive and very easy to add to a computer -- and honestly, it's better to have more fans and not need them than it is to need more fans and not have them.

Another way to reduce the internal heat of your computer is to switch out your PC's conventional ribbon-type cables with round cables. Round cables promote better ventilation & airflow, thus resulting in a much lower temperature. As you undoubtedly know by now, a lower temperature means a faster vista PC.

2) Registry SweepsBy keeping good registry maintenance, you guarantee to speed up vista. No longer will you need to ask yourself, "How can I speed up my PC?"

The registry is in charge of keeping all vital information organized and readily available for your PC. When the computer needs something, the registry is where it turns to. So, this means if the registry becomes corrupted, the computer will have a bit of trouble getting what it needs and will be slowed drastically. You can easily prevent this debacle from happening by using reliable Windows repair software.

A good vista registry cleaner can scan & repair your PC's entire registry without you so much as lifting a finger. Well, to be honest, you will have to click the "Start" button in order to run the software -- but beyond that, you won't have to do much else. Although cleaning the registry may not solve all of your computer problems, it will definitely help in solving a few -- and thats a fact!
